Budgets don't work...

....if you are restricting yourself. Your Money Plan, the term I use instead of budget, works great when you are making the areas you truly value a priority. Most people aren't. That's why you feel frustrated when trying to do something different with your money.

The only messages the guru's share is, "Cut out everything until you get your debt paid off", "No fun until you are debt free", "No investing in anything until you have a fully funded emergency fund", and similar nonsense!

The truth is, your life is different than everyone else's and your Money Plan and path forward should be different also. You may not have debt to eliminate. You may be focusing on planning for growing your family, switching careers, sending kids off on their own, traveling, or retiring. What the guru's share is actually creating negative mindsets with money, putting you into Lack or Scarcity mindsets. Creating feelings of doubt and unfulfillment. That doesn't create long term success! You want to feel at peace with your money, you want to know that it is going to places you feel good about, you don't want to stress out about it anymore.
